On July 25 2015, Caracol Television received an award as the first TV channel in Latin America to include audio description for the blind with a second screen feature.

For three years, the Bogota Film Festival has been sponsored by ATmedios in the "Cinema for Blind People" category. This new edition's aim is to continue bringing cinema to people who are blind or with low vision thanks to audio description.

FICCI Hall, a space created by the festival for panels, discussions, press conferences and master classes, will have the participation of Deputy ICT Minister Maria Carolina Hoyos on Thursday March 12, 2015. Ms. Hoyos will present the "Cinema for All" project to attendees. In addition, as part of the festival's program, three films will be screened with audio description for blind people and subtitles for deaf people.

The Ministry of Information Technology and Communications starts a new cycle of "Movies for EveryoneMovies for Everyone". The project, which is aimed at people with visual or hearing disabilities and their families, brings some news for 2015: films will be screened in new cities and the WhatsCine app will be available in more theaters.

The project offers the audio description service for people who are blind or have low vision, as well as subtitles and sign language interpretation for deaf people. More than 18,000 people have benefited from this initiative. ATmedios, the Colombian company in charge of developing these support systems, follows international accessibility standards in order to contribute to opening new spaces for inclusion.

"Movies for EveryoneMovies for Everyone" started in 2013 in an alliance with Cine Colombia and Fundacion Saldarriaga Concha. Its objective is to reach 60 percent of the 2.9 million people with disabilities in the country, so they can enjoy these entertainment spaces with their families.

Caracol Television will offer the audio description service for people who are blind or have low vision. The documentary "Entre Ojos" will be the first to offer this system starting on Saturday, November 29 at 11:00 p.m.
