Jersey City Office of Arts and Culture in collaboration with artists Susan Justiniano (RescuePoetix, the first Puerto Rican woman named Jersey City Poet Laureate), Carmen Victorious, and Wendelin presented "Words and Poetry" in honor of National Poetry Month, which was celebrated on April 27.
The workshop's purpose was to highlight the importance of expressing art in Jersey City's second most widely spoken language, Spanish. A bilingual event where ATmedios performed live subtitling in English, which attendees could access from the "live transcription" button at the bottom of the Zoom platform toolbar.
