Smart Films is the first festival devoted to films made with mobile devices in Colombia. By using their smartphones and tablets, participants make filmic projects no longer than 5 minutes.
During the four days of the festival, finalists exhibit their projects. The second edition of this event was held from August 22 to 25, 2016 at Teatro Cafam de Bellas Artes, in Bogota.
The festival has brought some news for this year, such as its "First Smart Films International Congress - Towards an Orange Economy." Also, there is a new category called Inclusive Smart ICT, in which amateur filmmakers with any kind of disability can participate.
ATmedios, as the festival's partner and sponsor, made some of the finalist films accessible so that they could be enjoyed by blind people (through audio description) and deaf people (through Colombian sign language and subtitles.) This accessible event could be enjoyed at ICT Ministry's "Gabor" projection room (located at Teatro Cafam de Bellas Artes.)
As part of the festival's awards, ATmedios will offer the inclusion of three accessibility systems such as audio description, Colombian sign language and subtitles into winning films in each category (Children, Youth, Amateur, Professional and Inclusive Smart ICT.)
